What is the difference between a blog and a wiki?

The difference between a blog and a wiki is what we use them for. The best way I can describe my answer is to say that a blog is like a newspaper and a wiki is like a book. The blog is used to post information that you want people to know. On the other hand the wiki is used to give people information on what they need to do to complete a task.
